Constanza Napolitano

Constanza is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Ecology and Biodiversity (IEB) at University of Chile. She is a member of the IUCN Cat Specialist Group and the Andean Cat Alliance (AGA), as well as a Global Wildlife Conservation Associate Conservation Scientist. She has been working in conservation and research of small wild cats in Chile since 2003, with a particular interest in the genetic, and ecological and health impacts of human landscape perturbation on natural populations. Her current projects include exploring virus transmission from domestic cats to guignas (Leopardus guigna), a long-term monitoring network for the Andean cat (Leopardus jacobita) populations and coordinating the Andean cat global genetics project.
